Dr Bernsen is a very professional and friendly doctor.

Once on the medical table, he addressed me by reintroduced himself (this was my 4th visit), explained the procedure, asked if I had any questions. He was kind, reassuring, and very professional. Then the anesthesiologist introduced herself acknowledging I had been her patient before, explained what she was going to do, and also asked if I had any questions. I confirmed I understood what would happen. She was also reassuring and informative. I don't recall going asleep or waking up. Over in an instant. She again made sure I was OK. The doctor then explained he had found 2 spots to remove (polyps?), again asking if I was OK and he'd see me in 3 years. The entire procedure was very comforting.

Professional

My mom had to wait an additional 1.5 hours beyond the time they said her colonoscopy would be done. She said she was told dr bernsen had a meeting, even though they originally asked her if she would be fine waiting until 11a for her colonoscopy.

Everyone in the office was very nice. Dr. Bernsen listened to my concerns and explained everything very well. The procedure I had went well and if I needed anything else GI related I would go back to Dr. Bernsen

Dr Bernsen leads the practice and runs a great business. All the administrative and medical staff are professional and dedicated. Dr Bernsen has a long standing reputation as an excellent surgeon.

My experience with Dr Bernsen, was respectful and kind. I will definitely share with friends and family.. I will come back again.

Dr. Bernsen seemed irritated and annoyed throughout the visit, which made it uncomfortable to address my symptoms or concerns. The overall experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. I hope future patients are treated with more patience and respect. I definitely would NOT recommend this doctor.
