Absolute disgrace. Do not go to any United gastroenterology clinics. They are so unprofessional in every way imaginable. Unhelpful, dismissive and rude. Find another stand alone specialist for this. You will spend 5 months chasing down your own results and, you can literally not get them to even pick up the phone for days during business hours.

DO NOT sign a waiver regarding anesthesiologist and please insist that the he/she is in network. They will get you to pay out of pocket as it is out of network and insurance won't pay as you've signed a waiver. If you are doing preventive colonoscopy it should be 100% covered. Also, don't fall for Dr. insisting anesthesia. It's not medically necessary, if you do you will be on the hook for the bill. Also, they will wait until one year deadline so that insurance company can't pay. Very unethical/lying attitude from both UMD and Blue Cross Blue Shield. I have heard it all, oh provider information is missing, oh you signed the waiver, oh we've given all information to insurance, oh deadline has passed, oh we've appealed twice, blah, blah. COMPLAINT GOES TO California Medical Board now.

Dr Hanna is excellent. He listens to you, he asks the right questions and he explains thoroughly.

Nice, friendly, informative doctor. If only he would dispense the required medication from his office for a colonoscopy the insurance would pay for it and other medications as well.

Dr. Hanna listened and answered all my questions. He gave me the results of my MRI and explained what was seen. He is very knowledgeable and concerned.

Dr. Hanna has a great bedside manner. His treatment explanations are thorough and understandable. And, he takes the time to answer your questions, something that is becoming increasingly rare in medicine these days.
