put on hold for 29 minutes then i hung up. feb 15, 2023

Got a referral from my doctor for this office. Was put on hold for a literal 18 minutes (seems like they just put the phone down) and I heard the office answering other calls while I was actively listening and forgotten about? Tried calling back and explaining I've been on hold for 20 minutes and was immediately put on hold again. No idea if this is a new office location majorly understaffed or something, but it was very frustrating. After another 20 minutes waiting they finally gave me the info that they are booked out for another month, had they started with that up front my time wouldn’t have been wasted. Also it sounded like the operator was receiving active training.

Great experience. I found doctor Kaufman to be kind and informative. I'd been fearful about the underlying cause of my EPI, but he assured me that this can happen for no reason. And that there was no reason to keep searching. Definitely stood out among the many doctors I've visited. I felt both seen and heard.

NO Recommended. You won't get any results, plus you have to do your insurance billing too. Refer by my Doctor. I have had Colon and stomach problems and pain for the last 20 years. As you read in others, review the staff not trained and educated. The Doctor was good on the first appointment to get my procedure done. After my procedure, I asked him if he would give me medicine for my pain, and he recommended Advil !!!! And another question, he said I don't know, use what works for you. Then I started to receive bills, and the billing department told me to follow up with your insurance to pay us; otherwise, you are responsible for payment. Even I checked with my insurance and Doctor's office before the procedure, and it covers 100%, and there is no co-pay for me, but this is my job to follow up, not their job!!!

Dr Kaufman is an excellent doctor with great communication skills. I didn't have any problems getting an appt for my pre-colonoscopy visit. And I just had my colonoscopy today at Hoag Irvine -- excellent facility and it went very well (as well as a colonoscopy can go, lol)

Dr Kaufman may be an excellent doctor ... I never had the chance to find out. Interminable holds when calling the office, zero office help scheduling the mandated covid test 3-5 days prior to procedure. Customer service is non-existent ... you're better off finding a doctor with helpful staff.

I have the same problem. I got a referral to do colonoscopy screening but no answer or return call back. I left messages but no luck. I will find another place

I do not understand the bad reviews, at all. Never experienced any of that. He performed my first colonoscopy and I moved to another state for 5 years. Came back to CA and immediately looked him up for my next colonoscopy. Phone call, appointment, scheduled appointment thru to colonoscopy day went well. Having to go the ER a few days ago and the ER doc asked if I need a referral to a gastroenterologist, I said nope. I know who I'm calling...Dr. Kaufman.

Extremely rude doctor. Never coming back.
