Great bedside manners..efficient..great listener..pre and post procedure

Dr Nilesh Mehta Recently, I had severe stomach problems. I was under the care of Dr. Nilesh Mehta, Gastroentrologist at Digestive Disease Care in New Hyde Park. When I met him for consultation, he was in no rush, most attentive, totally focused and made me feel that I was the most important person for the entire duration of our meeting. Above all, he made himself available for follow up phone consultation even beyond his normal working hours. Thanks to Dr Mehta, I am cured and back on my feet. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from acute stomach problems.

As a physician, I can tell you that this is a well-run operation. Dr Mehta is polite, professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. I can recommend this place to anybody.

Crazy wait time one and a 1/2 hour to see a doctor and 2 and a 1/2 hour to have a procedure done avoid this place

Post-Covid this office has become less responsive, you have to actively pursue responses regarding lab results, appointments, etc. while dealing with dismissive front desk staff who will claim office managers are unavailable or EMR systems are down. Which is unfortunate since Dr. Mehta seems to be knowledgeable & helpful.

Dr. Mehta might be great but my family member who made multiple appointments with her & always saw a PA or a NP instead, which is fine but why need to misinform? & if you ask to specifically see Dr. Mehta you will have to wait 1-1.5 hours & then be informed that she is unavailable. This is not even wildly unprofessional, it’s wildly inappropriate. I’d exercise caution when going to this office because apparently deliberately lying is normal here.

I wish I could give any negative star to this doctors and Digestive care facilities. Extremly bad patient support and treatment. A red flag for patients suffering from digestive problem.
