Doesn’t take patients serious enough. Don’t know why he is still practicing medicine if he’s unable to help patience diagnose their ailments! Shame on you Dr Mello!

My wife saw this doctor in her early 20s for an enlarged abdomen, despite being physically active and working out regularly. Without conducting a thorough evaluation or appropriate diagnostic workup, Dr. Mellon prescribed weight loss pills. The abdominal enlargement was significant, not subtle, and on proper palpation, a large mass was clearly present. Another physician later performed a more careful assessment, ordered an ultrasound, and discovered a 30 pound ovarian mass. That physician then appropriately referred her to a gynecologist, who ultimately removed it. Now that I am in medicine myself, it is deeply concerning to reflect on how much was missed. Proper medical care requires more than visual assessment or assumptions, it requires investigation, clinical reasoning, and appropriate imaging when indicated. I would not recommend this doctor. If you are currently seeing this physician or have concerns that are being dismissed, I strongly recommend seeking a second opinion, just as my wife did. It may make a critical difference.

An excuse for a doctor who is never there and makes his dad replace him

Avoid Dr. Mello’s office at all costs. They overbook like no tomorrow. You wait a month just to get a consultation, and when you finally show up, the first thing you see is a depressing, 35 years outdated waiting room packed to capacity with people who’ve been sitting there for hours. It’s honestly impressive how little respect this place has for anyone’s time. They don’t even bother letting you know they’re running behind—apparently, that’s just assumed and business as usual here. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s been the same every visit. Be prepared—bring a Charles Dickens novel, or maybe even a Homer epic—because you’ll have plenty of time to catch up on the classics. When it’s finally your turn, Dr. Mello Sr. will breeze through your appointment like he’s trying to set a new personal record. He should’ve retired twenty years ago, and he’ll forget everything about your case within the matter of a few days anyway. To be fair, the staff are friendly and helpful—but that’s about the only redeeming thing you’ll find here.

Dr David Mello is Compassionate, professional, and honest. He is the only Dr able to fix the issue and give straight answers regarding our concerns providing real expectations. The Smartest physician our family knows. Dealing with terminal issues, Dr Mello took the time and made arraignments to accommodate our family to consult and find a plan of care when other doctors were giving us the run around, resulting in expenses not needed. We are flying in to America as we now know Dr Mello’s office is the highest level of care. Results are not always the best news to receive(as in our case), but having an honest highly experienced Dr to consult and refer us to the appropriate care is God’s blessing. Thank you Dr and to the kind and competent office team for your top quality care. You are giving our family more time THANK YOU.

Dr. Mello definitely takes his time to diagnose and spend his time without rushing to understand your needs, very compassionate excellent bedside matters. Highly recommend.very good doctor.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Mello, and I had an amazing experience! Dr. Mello is truly wonderful-very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Mello to everyone looking for quality care and a positive atmosphere.
