John Vainder, M.D.

Congratulations to Dr. Vainder on his retirement. :-) I had 2 colonoscopies performed by him, and they went smoothly. Dr. Vainder's "bedside manner" and explanation of the procedure and findings were top notch. The nurses and staff at the Glenview location were great as well. If the rest of Dr. Vainder's associates are as good as he was, they'll have a wildly successful practice for years to come. ;-)

One of the rudest inappropriate men I’ve ever had the displeasure of having an appointment with. I came in because I KNOW I can’t handle sugar I throw up violently (thought to be csid) but upon walking into my room the first thing that he says is “so what do u think is wrong because I doubt you’re right” and then when I started to explain he cut me off and said “wow I bet you don’t have a job with those nails “ (they weren’t even long) and that was extremely demeaning I’ve dealt with pain my whole life and he thought it was FUNNY suggested “why not just avoid the food that’ hurts duh” like seriously sugar is in everything. He then gaslit me into saying a hydrogen test that I was given did NOT EXIST. But it does and he sent me home with pure sucrose to drink while smirking and said “have fun” I was in the er immediately after. I found a REAL GI quickly and was diagnosed with GASTRIC HETEROTOPIA . Rare and there since birth now completely filling up my duodenum it could have gotten worse he needs to be shut down he’s a rude tiny discriminative demeaning man and should not be allowed to continue ! He also told his receptionist he wouldn’t need to see me for 6 months when he had NO DIAGNOSES. I hope the worst for this “man “

Dr. Vainder has been a great support in my health care over the years. I’ve been having the opportunities to be check up and every time is very informative and attentive to my ailments addressing my questions or concerns. I always have a great experience at this office.

I met with Dr Vainder once last week, and despite running 40 minutes late (this is rare for me) they waited for me as I was the last of the day. Despite this, Dr Vainder and his team took their time and made sure they understood everything about my situation. Dr Vainder took my concerns seriously and made a big effort to get me scheduled quickly for my follow up colonoscopy and endoscopy. I was very happy with his effort and look forward to seeing him in the future after I get the results back from the procedures

Dr. Vainder is the best! He is down to earth and always makes me feel at ease at my visits and is very thorough. I will certainly miss him when he retires. I wish him well. His office staff is helpful and so very polite/professional.
