Dr. Stein is the best Gastro doctor I’ve ever seen. She is treating me for CVS.

My wife had surgery for colon cancer 6mo ago and was referred to Dr Stein due to motility issues. She loved her. She said it was the first time she felt seen and validated in what she was experiencing. My wife has had 2 appointments with her so far and she is pleased with the care she’s receiving. Thank you Dr Stein for helping my wife get on track to a normal life!

Dr. Stein and her group at RWJ were a real life nightmare! I was in the hospital for 1 month in the summer of 2023. I went because i was told she could help put me on TPN care. I was underweight for 2 and half years so I went with the intent to get TPN. Her and her team bullshitted me the entire time pushing feeding tubes on me that wasn’t working. I lost more weight being there. Everyone else agreed to put me on TPN the dietitians, etc. but she would not do it fed me bullshit saying my insurance wouldn’t cover it unless I did all the feeding tubes. I left against medical advice 2 weeks later found a metabolic physician and started home TPN care. Put on over 30lbs and I am well managed by my doctor and infusion pharmacy. Her and her team tried to scare me that TPN was so terrible and all this bs which I’ve been completely fine NO ISSUES. I got my quality of life back, able to work, be a mom to my kids that they deserve. I also asked one of her doctors that works under her about compression syndromes and was dismissed. Saw a doctor at Cleveland clinic was tested for MALS AND WAS DIAGNOSED. She acts as if she’s educated on motility issues but she is not VERY IGNORANT ON THE TOPIC. I would not recommend her or her group to my worst enemy. Was the hospital stay from HELL. Plus she ordered a psychiatric evaluation on me which came back NORMAL. 0/10 stay away!

I scheduled back in December 2024 for the first available appointment in July 2025. Today I got a text that they want WAY more than my usual copay paid prior to the visit. Over an hour of calling various phone numbers to find out it's because they moved to a new "hospital-based setting that is out-patient" one month ago. Patients are now charged a facility fee in addition to a doctor's fee. I waited EIGHT months to find this out 1 week prior to the appointment. This should be illegal. Thanks for wasting my time and health. I was already taking a risk on this doctor's lousy reviews. Cancelled and found another specialist.

started me on two meds that i ended up having an allergic reaction too in the hospital, never gave benadryl and wanted to up my dose the next night, also thought because i could suck on a life saver (only thing i could tolerate by mouth) i was all cured

I was referred to Dr Stein by my Doctor. I called March 20 to make an appointment and the girl told me the SOONEST appointment was OCTOBER... 7 months from now.. ridiculous, but maybe I dodged a bullet because when I just went in to look at her reviews they were all terrible and mostly 1 star reviews !! I guess I should have done my homework first, but I trust in my doctor big mistake !! I don't understand why we put doctors on a pedestal in this country unbelievable !
