I Love this Doctor! He correctly diagnosed my SIBO problems as well as diagnosed my Thyroiditis before my PCP determined I had it! Doctor Levitzky is BRILLIANT! (y)

BL performed an ERCP on me. He never spoke with me before or after and did not return my post procedure calls. I still gave unanswered questions about my condition. . He did however have time to shoot the breeze with the surgical team in my presence while I was prepped. I am headed to Brigham and Womens for a consult with a gastroenterologist who will help me.

Worst experience! He and his anesthesia nurse were rude and condescending. I woke during my colonoscopy and while doing so in extreme pain I was being scolded by the nurse. I’m still swollen and bruised over a week out. Zero bedside manner. Absolutely unacceptable the way I was treated. Katie the first nurse gets a gold star! She was the only pleasant part of it all!

Don't see this doctor. He is rude and doesn't follow-up after procedures.

I have been a patient of Dr. Levitsky for 10+ years. I have had multiple Colonoscopies and one upper Endoscopy with him. I have always found his bedside manner to be very pleasant and friendly. He is knowledgeable always willing to share pictures and recommendations and answers any questions I have. I don't feel the wait for an appointment is any longer than any other good medical specialist in the area.

Dr Levitzky was very professional and took time with me without being hurried. He correctly diagnosed me & I am so grateful for his expertise!

My PCP made the referral and appointment for me. I was so excited to see Dr. Levitzky as I have been struggling with GI issues for a year and most wait lists to see a GI doctor are about 6 months long. At the time my PCP made the appointment, I had to wait about 2 months for the appointment and had heard that everything was set and ready to go and that I would log on for the virtual appointment the day of. 2 days prior to the appointment I received a call from their administration staff, Jennifer, telling me that there was a "mismatch" with my insurance and that if they couldn't resolve it within 24 hours they would have to cancel my appointment. I logged into my insurance app and updated them, which was apparently still incorrect and they could not get approval. While I understand insurance mishaps happen all the time, it feels as though this should have been figured out when the appointment was made 2 months ago and not 2 days prior to the appointment. When I asked about rescheduling... they said they didn't have anything open until February. Poor patient care.

I’ve seen a handful of GI doctors across USA over the past 15 years and had a couple dozen GI procedures/surgeries done. With a personal and family history of GI cancers, I think I am a qualified patient to evaluate GI providers. I flew over from a different state to see Dr. Levitzky for a second opinion. I didn’t need to explain too much and he immediately picked up core clinical questions that I expected him to answer. The answer he gave me is above and beyond my expectation. Without going into too much technical details, let’s just say that Dr. L is the ONLY GI doctor that I’ve met who still stick to the GOLD standard in his diagnostic workup and treatment plans as recommended in published consensus guidelines. GI clinics are so overloaded nowadays and I haven’t seen a single provider who practices the gold standard before I met with Dr. L. He is extremely thorough and pays attention to every detail in your chart. If you don’t have a lot of medical knowledge, my recommendation is that you should stop judging and attacking his personal character. He certainly is NOT the best communicator I’ve seen, but a doctor who sweet talks to you to make you emotionally feel better isn’t necessarily the best doctor for you. If I can pick one GI to care me for the rest of my life, it would without any doubt be Dr. L simply because the level of care he gave to his patients is unseen elsewhere in the failing healthcare system of this country. I also love the diversity of his team and how he treats his assistant with such respect. And did I mention that the elevator to his clinic reminds me of the clinic of my first primary care doctor who did house calls in the good old days? All the qualities I missed in US healthcare back then, I see traces of them in Dr. L’s practice.
