I did a 4 weeks of GI rotation under Dr. Albert's care and it was an educating experience. His interaction with his patients is undoubtedly professional and his patients are comfortably able to discuss their concerns with him, which he addresses with patience and conscientiousness. He disapproves the practice of unnecessary procedures for economic gains and ensures that his patients understand the logic behind the need of each diagnostic procedure and the treatment plan that follows. He is considerate enough to create a treatment plan which meets the patient’s needs and as well as, is approved by their respective medical insurances. Dr. Albert is also a great mentor, he was kind enough to teach me about different GI pathologies and update me on the latest guidelines to prevent and them. He is a genuine human being who cares for everyone around him and is invested in his community, as well. He is my first choice as a GI specialist, any time, any day.

Dr. Albert is amazing!!! I found him on referral and am so happy I did. He is extremely thorough, compassionate, and has excellent bedside manner. He always double checks to ensure he is providing the most up to date information. As a health provider myself, there is nothing I appreciate more than a provider that takes the extra time to follow up on a question asked. I know that any suggestion he makes is with my best interest in mind. I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Dr. Albert!

Dr. Albert came highly recommended by a family member for some gastric concerns. His office got me in right away and I met with his PA, Paige. She was patient, very thorough, and listened to all concerns. She scheduled me for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. His front desk was very kind and efficient. I had an early morning apt. for my procedures with Dr Albert. He has an amazing bedside manner and came to check on me before the procedure to make sure I felt calm, had no other questions or concerns and reviewed what would be done. After, he sat and talked with me, like a friend, not a patient. I drove from the northwest suburbs for the appointment and procedure and would do it again. I trust him, and his team entirely.

Dr Albert has to be one of the best physicians I have encountered. As a physician also, I can easily say his compassion, personalized care and dedication to me as his patient goes above and beyond. His knowledge and expertise in gastroenterology is honestly some of the best I’ve come across. He dropped everything just to get me in for time-sensitive care I couldn’t get elsewhere at late notice, even finding me the most affordable options for a medication, and is just beyond impressive with his and his practice’s customer service and bedside manner. He really makes you feel like YOU are the only patient, just like the good ol’ days - just beyond excellent. If you’re shopping around come to Dr Albert with full confidence you’ll get the best care anywhere. 10 stars!

Rotated with Dr. Albert in his telehealth clinic. He is an excellent teacher, always making sure we understood. He was very thoughtful of his patients. Made sure to cover all of patient's questions and concerns. He is knowledgeable and points to the problem quickly. I had an amazing experience with him.

I waited over a month to get an appointment with Dr. Albert but when I got there I was informed that I would just be speaking with his assistant. She has the worst bedside manner out of any doctor I’ve ever been to. I waited 30 minutes past my apppointment time to see her then when she came out to call my name I didn’t hear her the first time (the office was quite busy) so she called a second time and when I looked up and she said, “COME!” in a very annoyed manner. I felt like a dog and immediately on edge with her because of how mean she was. I don’t think she listened to my medical history and just prescribed a colonoscopy and endoscopy without really hearing me. I asked some normal questions about the procedures, like what type of anesthesia would be used (I was nervous about that) and she said, ‘I think propofol but why would you need to know that?’ in a condescending tone. Every question I asked she seemed to return with a condescending answer. She scheduled some blood tests for me but after the appointment I ran out of there! I felt so unsafe — which is weird for me because I actually enjoy going to the doctors office. I know a lot of these reviews are old and I should have noticed that. I also didn’t see Dr. Albert so I can’t comment on how he is but I would never go back here and would not trust his team with any medical procedures.

I saw Dr. Albert in October. He ordered me tests, several of which came back abnormal. However, his office has canceled my November follow-up appointment with him three times, now asking me to push it back to March or April. Additionally, despite asking me in my intake form if I'm comfortable seeing a PA or NP (I indicated "No"), they keep trying to reassign my canceled appointments to them / asking me to elaborate on why I'm not comfortable seeing a PA. As a patient looking for answers to chronic symptoms and pain, let alone abnormal labs that have yet to be interpreted, I find this deeply disrespectful. I decided to take my results to another practice in the area that was able to get me in within a few weeks and make progress in my care.

Dr. Andrew Albert and Physician Assistant Libby Pollack are both exceptionally prepared, competent, and empathetic. Dr. Albert was incredibly responsive to my many questions, and his personalized care and realistic approach to my needs and situation truly put me at ease. What stood out most was the level of attention and genuine care he showed throughout my recovery. Dr. Albert personally reached out to follow up on how I was doing, which went above and beyond what I expected and demonstrated how much he cares about his patients. I felt well cared for and confident in both Dr. Albert and Libby Pollack throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Dr. Albert and his team to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive care.
