Valeria has been amazing to work with. I didn't know what to expect when I first started going. She met me where I was at on the journey. She educated me. She is patient with me as I learn to implement things into my lifestyle that will help me. She is an integral part of my team that I rely on. I cannot recommend her enough. If you are willing to put in the work, Valeria is the perfect cheerleader and accountability partner.

YouCose Health and staff have changed my life! Their approach to nutrition and diabetes is like no other. I have been to many nutritionists over the years who would just spend an hour showing me plastic food, portions suggested and diagrams of the food pyramid. YouCose does it differently! They want to know who you are, your goals and ambitions, what physical activities you enjoy most and foods you like to eat. YouCose helped me set up my OmniPod and Dexcom and monitored my stats. From there we discussed the importance of protein, carbs, vegis, fats, fats and eating on a regular basis! Note: A diabetic should never skip a meal! You will learn the reasons why. Food products were suggested and always well researched to make sure they were healthy. I have lost 40 pounds and have never felt better. Valeria and her staff are wonderful to work with on my health journey and I promise you … you will feel the same! Diane Brusseau

Valeria and YouCouse Health have gone above and beyond for me. I finally feel like I have an advocate that cares about me and my health. She has followed up with my PCP and pushed back on insurance when they denied me the medication I needed. The continuity of care has been amazing. Thank you for being a great partner and great advocate.

Coming from a generation who grew up on processed foods, I have known I need to make a change and did several years ago. However, what I didn't know was the balance of macros needed for optimal health and weight. Over the past 6-7 years, I have gained 10 lbs. each year, with that as well as not getting the right nutrition I am headed in the direction of heart disease. I was a bit sceptic of meeting with a nutritionist but was open. During my first visit with Valeria Mallett I knew I was in great hands! She educates and encourages me along the way, my path to optimal health and weight has just begun, but I am already feeling progress. I am confident I am learning a new lifestyle that will carry me through many more years. Thank you Valeria!!

Two years ago, I was " officially a type 2 diabetic." This was after almost 15 years of having an elevated A1C level. My doctor referred me to Valeria and I have been working with her for the last 2 years. She has helped me with my understanding of type 2 diabetes, worked me to establish better eating habits, encouraged me to be more intentional about exercise, and just be better able to manage my health. Over these 2 years, I have lost 20 pounds and lowered my A1C from 7.2 to 6.7. My health is better and I am confident that I am doing the things that will avoid the complications of diabetes. Thank you Valeria.

I have seen Leanne Witek for the past year or so. I came to her with high liver numbers and weight. She is so wonderful to work with and really gives you the tools to get things back under control. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

Valeria is awesome to work with! She is very knowledgeable, compassionate, supportive, patient and genuinely cares about helping you reach your goal. She is very good at pivoting when something is not working for you. She follows the science and her approach is always tailored to the individual.

I have been regularly visiting this establishment for the past few years, working with Valeria Rech. As a diabetic patient who also has UC, I've found Ms. Rech has been an invaluable resource on a wide range of topics. From analyzing in detail my continuous blood monitoring data, to the effects of alcohol on blood sugar level and from helping me develop healthy nutritious meal alternatives to sharing medical findings and research papers, my visits with Ms. Rech and her team have been consistently helpful. Beyond her considerable knowledge of nutrition, medicine and lifestyle impacts, she is friendly, empathetic, and a genuinely attentive listener--qualities I consider essential in a health professional. I wholeheartedly recommend YouCose to anyone with nutrition needs (and who doesn't).

I am going to apologize in advance for the length of this review, but no amount of words can express how awesome Valeria Mallett has been. 2.5 years ago I was given the referral from my doctor to YouCose Health, primarily to see Valeria. I had a lot of doubt seeing a nutritionist, many failed attempts with Weight Watchers, a few terrible experiences with other nutritionists who shamed me for my habits. From day one Valeria listened, and supported me. With her guidance, and education, I learned how food affected my diabetes. Small changes became new habits. Without Valeria I wouldn’t be where I am today. I started my journey weighing 360lbs, A1C above 13, average blood sugars in the 200s. Today I’m at 270lbs, A1C at 5.7, and normal blood sugars, and in diabetic remission. Valeria is the best!!!!
