Walid S. Ayoub, MD

I saw Dr. Ayoub for a second opinion after being diagnosed with Stage IV cirrhosis. I had previously seen another liver specialist at one of the local university based practices. What an upgrade! I have now transferred my on-going care to Dr. Ayoub. Dr. Ayoub is the kind of doctor you wish you had back when you tried to treat that weird rash with duct tape and peanut butter. He has what medical professionals call “bedside manner,” which is Latin for “doesn’t make you feel like a total idiot while explaining you probably shouldn’t have Googled your symptoms at 2 a.m.” When he walks into the room, he’s calm, composed, and somehow manages to radiate competence. He talks to you like a person, not a walking collection of alarming test results, and he has this uncanny ability to make even terrifying words like “liver transplant” sound like a pleasant weekend activity—possibly involving snacks. Really! Dr. Ayoub listens. Like, really listens. Not in that “I’m pretending to care while secretly wondering where I left my car keys” way, but in the “I could solve a murder just by remembering everything you said” way. He explains things clearly, answers your dumbest questions with grace, and never once rolls his eyes when you say something scientifically questionable like “Can stress cause my hair to grow back?” Bottom line: if you’re looking for a doctor who’s smart, kind, and doesn’t treat you like a malfunctioning robot, Dr. Ayoub is your guy.

I’m very grateful for Dr Ayoub for the outstanding care I’ve received . Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and professional , but he also takes the time to explain things and listen with patience and compassion. I always feel cared for during my visits . It’s rare to find a specialist who combines such expertise with genuine kindness . I would highly recommend Dr Ayoub to anyone who’s in need of a liver specialist.
