This practice has as been nothing but lie after lie to my wife. She started going here for her acid reflux which is being caused by a bariatric sleeve. They have run test after test and they keep filing with the insurance company as a weight loss surgery which it is not. They have the worst communications I have ever witnessed in my life. They take days to return calls and emails through the patient portal. My wife just spoke with the insurance company today and was informed that the doctor is not submitting the paperwork correctly or not at all. If I could give negative stars I would

I am so blessed to have been referred to Dr. Benjamin Robey! He is very knowledgeable about Lynch syndrome which has plagued my family with heretic colon cancer. It appears that he saved my bacon yesterday. He removed several polyps from my colon and stomach and sent many tissue samples for pathology. The facility used for upper & lower endoscopy was very efficient and everyone was so friendly and confident. The whole experience was absolutely the best. The nurses and technicians were present and wished me "Goodnight" as the anesthesia was administered. I happily said goodnight. Then I woke up and was informed of all that was done, and let me know how to proceed with my recovery for the rest of the day. I couldn't be happier than I am with my experience and with the expertise and care from all who helped me (Cindy, Debbie and Franteenes). Thank you all so much. I am looking forward to working with Dr. Robey to keep me as healthy as possible in my future years!

Avoid this practice by all means. Would not recommend. I was seen by Dr. Nataranjan in Jan 2026 before she went on maternity leave. Have had complaints of irregular and abnormal GI patterns. Dr. Nataranjan ordered for an upper GI scope and colonoscopy procedure. Until now, July 1. 2026 I still do not have a date scheduled. I called several times and I only was able to speak once with a rep and said that they will work on it. My Case Manager Advocate also attempted to reach out but no one returned the call. There is person who answers the calls (centralized call center) but he was rather rude as well. Having to wait this long is unacceptable!

I've been a patient at this clinic while being evaluated for Crohn's disease, and I can't say enough good things about the care I've received. Dr. Shah and Dr. Robey have both been outstanding — thorough, attentive, and genuinely invested in getting to the bottom of what's going on. Even during what can be a stressful and uncertain diagnostic process, they've made me feel heard and well taken care of at every step. The staff are professional and kind, and the overall experience has been far better than I expected. If you're dealing with a complex GI issue, this is exactly the kind of team you want in your corner. Highly recommend.

I went through a lengthy process to attempt to transfer my care to this clinic. I spent several hours coordinating my records and going through insurance, etc. Then, the doctors "passed" on seeing me. What an unprofessional way to say this - "they passed". When did patients start having to audition or try out for doctors? So much for patient care. The schedulers were rude from the beginning, so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised.

Dr Shah was the very definition of Mid not good not terrible either like most GI specialists I suppose. The real failure is at the administration level. In that department this practice is nightmare. They should pay me for my time and frustration. So if you like ok mediocre medical care and horrendous organization this is the place for you

I wanted to give one star because I’m absolutely dumbfounded by the fact that these doctors will not see me because I have already seen another gastroenterologist. I made an appointment weeks ago and it was scheduled for October 10 and I was told at the time of scheduling the appointment that I didn’t need to bring any records with me even though I told them that I had an EGD done one year ago. Five days before the appointment, I get a call from another person who tells me I can’t be seen unless I get my records from my previous G.I.., Today I called to tell them that I’ve gotten all my records and to ask should I bring them to the appointment or should I fax them over and I was told that they canceled my appointment because the doctors do not see People from other gastroenterologists. So three of the people there are all telling me different things and they’re telling me that the other person doesn’t really know the right process. I was then told that the doctors are very picky about who they see and if they were to make an appointment for me that they would probably get in trouble. Make this makes sense! I feel like I’m on another planet. The only thing that I had done at my original gastroenterologist was an EGD and a colonoscopy. That has nothing to do with my current condition. And the only reason I’m leaving my gastroenterologist is because they don’t treat anything that’s more complicated than gastritis and esophagitis. So that being said, I’m giving two stars just because I got a friendly person on the phone today. But I feel there is something off about this whole place because who would turn away a patient who has a potential serious stomach problem who needs to be seen so at this point, I guess I have to go to the emergency room or continue to try other GIs in the area in the hopes that someone will see me.

Molly McElroy is a huge asset to Not only to Wake GI specialists but to all medical practices! She actually listens to her patients and interacts with them to thoroughly understand what has been transpiring with her patients! She actually does a physical exam and checks the areas her patients are experiencing symptoms! She takes her time and explains in detail what could be occurring. She makes suggestions and you leave feeling that you are in good hands! Molly McElroy is a true medical professional who cares for the patient not just passing them on and letting AI do the work for her. Please thank Molly McElroy for her outstanding leadership and commitment to her patients! Deserves a 10 star review

Must be nice not to need new patients. As a former patient, I was appalled when they told me that they wouldn't see my daughter because of her previously seeing another GI doctor... and they "don't do second opinions". I explained that the reason I was trying to get her in was because the other office really didn't do anything. So basically... it's looking like their royal highnesses at Wake Gastro have no time for people that in their opinions "make the mistake" of seeing someone else before them. In other words, it appears to be that if you go somewhere else first...even when not actually treated and still sick... they've decided not to even try to see if they might could help. By the looks of some reviews, this is apparently the new way of business for them. I guess this is where pride weighs heavier than the oath to help people. Well, the good thing is that since they have chosen to be selective with who they treat, our primary has decided that they will be selective on who they refer patients to. Guess who just got dropped!
