I had a very disappointing experience with Abby at Vanguard Gastro. I called as a former patient to ask a simple question about insurance coverage, and instead of receiving helpful customer service, I felt like I was being talked down to. She repeatedly emphasized that the office does not accept Fidelis Care in a tone that came across as dismissive and condescending, rather than trying to assist or answer my questions respectfully. I understand that insurance policies are not the staff’s fault, but the way patients are spoken to absolutely matters. A little patience and kindness can make a stressful situation much easier. Unfortunately, I left the call feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. I hope the office places more emphasis on professionalism and respectful communication with patients.

Do not go to this office. The doctors do not follow up with results, the staff is rude and unhelpful, and I keep getting new bills from them 4 months later. I will never go to a Northwell Health owned provider after my experience here.

This office is lovely, the front desk was warm and friendly, nurses are lovely, and Dr. Ene was wonderful. Very happy I went, and will go back for my follow up. Being inside the Woolworth Building was thrilling!

From the moment you walk in Vanguard Gastroenterology, you’re welcomed by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The front desk staff is incredibly kind, polite, and professional, and overall energy of the office feels genuinely positive. I’m especially happy to see the noticeable improvements in both the staff and the approach to patient care it really shows. Everyone I interacted with was attentive and respectful, which makes a huge difference. The doctors are wonderful as well. I was seen by Dr. Nooshin and she was attentive, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for excellent care and a supportive, welcoming environment.

Got billed incorrectly and it has been absolutely impossible to get in touch with anyone. The doctors are nice but unfortunately all of these 1 star reviews are exactly accurate.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service. Extremely difficult to reach the office because you keep getting put through a call center and every time they transfer you’re either sent to voicemail or greeted by the rudest receptionist in the history of medicine. Not worth the mental anguish just to get your prescription filled by your pharmacy.

It is very difficult to get through the reception desk, which is unfortunate because I love Dr.Ene but the people in the front are so incompetent and will constantly put you on voicemail when trying to get to your doctor. No one at this office follows up with email or phone call, I’ve been waiting for nearly two months on getting a physical form filled out by a doctor and have not heard anything from the assistant, Terrell. Poor management skills and extremely unprofessional, I think this place wouldn’t get as much negative reviews if they got rid of him and others who work at the front desk.

terrible experience. I went in january 2025 for a physical because they also do primary care. I chose an in-network physician and confirmed multiple times that he was in network . I've contacted their office and the lab, and now a debt collection agency is contacting me for hundreds of dollars of labwork for an annual physical. do not go here
