I could not say enough of the incredible caring and service at Utah Gastroenterology. Everyone, from the front desk to Heydan, the nurse and Andrew who handled the anesthesia to Dr. Fox, these people are amazing!

Charlie fox was definitely unprofessional and made me feel silly for coming to talk about my current gastrointestinal issues. He was not helpful and made me feel uncomfortable that I was too young for these kind of issues

I've been going to the Utah Gastroenterology Old Mill location for years. My Doctor Dr. Harmston and his PA Abby, are very knowledgeable in their chosen fields. I've had several Upper GI procedures and Colonoscopies over the years. My doctor helped to diagnose my Colon cancer. It was removed without antibiotics, Chemo, etc. because I received my colonoscopies on a regular basis!! There is now testing for different types of cancer!!!! Please, see your doctor or other health professional for your best health and happy life. After I had my Colon cancer removed, I started having bad bloating and foul smelling gas. Gastroenterology Old Mill did easy oral testing on me. I had bad bacteria in my small intestine, where it was sewn to my large intestine. That was bad news! I was started on an antibiotic for my gut. Much less gas over all and when I do have occasional gas; it no longer is foul smelling! Thank you, Debbie Retz-Hoar

Abby and staff are great! Was able to make a fast appointment. Very helpful in my time of need!

This experience was honestly a joke. The only good part of the experience was the nice lady at the front desk. I waited 40 minutes to be called back and who knows how much longer I would’ve had to wait if she didn’t go back and check cause they didn’t know which MA it was working with the doctor. Then the MA said my name wrong, put in all of my medications wrong, and even my name was put in wrong to the system. When the doctor, Dr Gilroy, came in he said I have celiac and said not everyone who has celiac is skinny, without even asking me about what’s been going on and then after I explained to him he said oh maybe not. Then felt my abdomen and told me I had a fatty liver even though that’s not even why I came and have had no indication of any liver issues. Then told me to go on a Mediterranean diet and to lose weight cause he used to be a liver doctor and went on talking about that. He couldn’t even work the computer correctly and didn’t give me any information on where to go get my lab work done.
