UPMC Digestive Health Care

The PA I saw initially didn’t listen to me during the consultation, so I was worried about my endoscopy. I’d been suffering so long I didn’t want to start over with another GI place. Dr. Cho and her team turned that all around. My endoscopy was amazing! They got me in 45 mins early. Everyone was so kind and gentle. The nurse Jay talked to me the whole way through and the tech explained everything they were doing as it was happening. Dr. Cho was so kind and never made me feel like I was overreacting.

Very clean and organized. Can’t emphasize enough how excellent the staff was!! A great first experience for the getting scopes.

Not very helpful. The Dr was told where to send medications but they never did, nurses never asked. Was referred by ER dr's but after multiple times to ask them to call in the meda they advised to be taken no one was available. Only a VM saying a 2 day call back which isn't good at all especially for an emergency situation.

1st time going in here the dr couldn't find the records from my previous doctor that was sent to them so she puts me on a lactose free diet and some pills just to have a "starting point" because she had no idea of my test history but said to come back after a month or so. W no change i go back, shes leaving the practice so i see a new doctor, dr dos, who comes in and pretty much dismisses me. Immediately he says hes just going w her recommendation and theres nothing else he can do. After explaining she didnt have my records he literally skims through 1 record he found out of many that were there this time and still doesnt want to here about any of my problems or concerns. Will be going to a different specialist somewhere else to find out what is going on but the way he dismissed me because he didnt want to do his job that day or whatever his issue was is inexcusable to me. Wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone!!!!

Had an endoscopy done for my GI problems and after charging me and my family $7,500 + for visits and endoscopy for very clear and prominent issues, the doctor said I was "making it up"... 3 years later I still deal with the same health issues. Avoid UPMC.

Dr Sarkaria is the most caring and kind specialist I have ever interacted with. When I was ill, she coached me through ER visits, helped me get the proper medication and checked on me every day, in the evenings, on her own time, for weeks! It felt like having a good friend who also happened to be a gifted physician.

Dr. Sarkaria is amazing! She has been great in thoroughly explaining to me the options for treatment. She is very nice to talk to and very connected to your needs. I would recommend her without hesitation.
