Penn GI Department, have you waiting a very long time,for someone to answer the phone to schedule an appointment. Penn GI Department definitely need a better,more sufficient way of dealing with schedule patients.

I recently had a liver transplant and have all my follow up appointments here. The entire staff are nothing short of amazing. So friendly and helpful.

For a national and world recognition institution, they left a lot to be desired. I was sent to Penn for a specialized scope. It was next to impossible for them to recognize the referral, pass it on to the doctor and schedule. I wasted WEEKS of playing phone tag for people to do a simple task. Most of the staff I spoke with on the phone were pretty rude and not helpful. There were countless times that they provided me with fax numbers and still claimed they never got records or referrals. My doctor’s office also spent a lot of time with chasing them down to get me scheduled. Once I finally got scheduled, the physician doing the scope was very friendly, but it was clear she didn’t know much about my case. She was asking questions about things that were absolutely found in the records she was sent. If/when given the choice, I definitely prefer Jefferson.
