the Gastros are great. 2. the waiting time has improved remarkably in the past 18 months when calling. So well done.

Cancelled my appointment without notification. Claimed that left vm which I did not receive, yelled at me and told me that I needed to change my communication preferences to no vm, but then they realized that I had already set my communication preferences to no VM. (Because they come up as spam) So now I need to wait 8 months for an appt.

No one cares about the patient here. Called to make an appointment and was put on hold and shuffled for 20 minutes, only to be told they have no appointments for FIVE MONTHS?!? Not even a phone appt. I believe this department does not want to see Medicare patients. She said, "We have nothing for 5 months." Period. Not I'm sorry. Not but I could put you on wait list. Nothing. She may as well have said, "Go away." Shameful.

Horrible service! Called so many times no one from the medical team is willing to talk to me or help! Keep me on hold for long time then we get disconnected and most of the time no call back! They trying to push us to use my chart but none of our concerns is addressed! I feel patient care and wellbeing is not there priority! They ignored my concerns after telling them my son is not feeling well and needs his medication stat, no extra step was taken to assure he is taking care of In My opinion if you don’t put patient well being and safety on top of your list you should not be doing patient care!

Every call is a 30+ minute wait. They have the worst costumer service. Also I switched medications recently and they gave me absolutely no guidance on what I need it to do. As if navigating insurance isn't bad enough, the office makes it so hard for you to know what to do. I had to call them multiple times and send multiple messages to finally get some answers. It's so sad and frustrating that the providers don't care. They should do better.

I have to change my GI doctor as my current GI doctor is not responsive and her care team is not accountable so I was end up in ER last Sunday. i want to request this very sincerely and respectfully to take care of my health before get worse and get damage on my colon by the negligence of care team and GI doctor Kendal beck. She is in vacation and her care team also in vacation and when I reached out to them with my bleeding they neglected me and tell me to go ER without having any diagnosis or follow up I suffered over three weeks and ended up in ER on last Sunday and now I am with prednisone. I am 34 and I don’t want to get damage in my body and I have lost trust on this Kendal Benk GI team. I have no idea how Ucsf running their specialist and care team work schedule and their coverage. Whoever doing this obviously doesn’t do better job on this coverage for patients. When I was in kaiser healthcare, there is always assigned to someone for coverage GI for GI and RN for RN. You can’t cover RN for GI who can’t make decisions and prescribe in serious decisions and questions.

I had an appointment this morning with the "New Patient Navigator" this morning which they completely blew off. The doctors here should be embarrased by how this place is run.

Spent hours and hours over course of one month fruitlessly making phone calls, sending referrals and emailing JUST TRYING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to see a doctor. Even with a referral and great insurance, they don’t let you see a doctor. What is up with that? They have the WORST system for connecting patients either doctors. If my condition were fatal, I’d be dead before I could see someone. I chose UCSF because I have had great experiences with orthopedics and other specialists there. UCSF GI department does not seem to want or need new patients. I have to find somewhere else to go.
