I was seen by Dr Kiani and he is a very caring and kind doctor and he exceeded my expectations. I would recommend him to everyone out there

I had a reassuring and pleasant experience with Ashley (ARNP). She was so kind and attentive to my concerns and provided me with the next best steps to help me feel better. Unfortunately, she will not be performing my procedure, but it sounds like I am in good hands.

The onboarding process at Providence/Swedish Gastroenterology involved significant administrative hurdles and unprofessional patient interactions. As a new patient navigating network insurance changes for a rare disorder, I was initially misinformed by scheduling staff regarding referral requirements. After obtaining a completely unnecessary referral to satisfy their demands, my attempt to book an appointment was met with further resistance. A male representative placed me on multiple extended holds to announce that Providence/Swedish had to conduct a mandatory, two-week internal 'investigation' to verify whether I am still under active care with an outside specialist. Despite explaining to him that my previous University of Washington provider is simply out-of-network, the representative was combative and abruptly disconnected our call. Between these arbitrary "administrative reviews" and a baseline 3-month wait time for an initial appointment, this system creates unnecessary long and likely unethical care gaps for patients with chronic, severe gastro issues. It took me 9 months to get an appointment with my new gastro. Absolutely unacceptable.

This is typical Swedish Hospital. Very professional, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Would not reccomend going here for your care. Find anywhere else, seriously. I went here for 10 years and never had an issue but then my provider left and I made the mistake of staying at this office. I've never felt more dismissed by a doctor and their team. Do yourself a favor and skip Swedish.

I spent 45 minutes on hold then you hung up on me! I called back and now I'm number 37! You're lucky I'm not local.

The care is fine, but it is basically impossible to reach the care team. Every time I call the office, I'm 30th+ in line. There have been more than 3 occasions where I leave a callback number, and after waiting 30+ minutes, I get a ring from the office, they give about 2 seconds to answer before they leave you a voicemail and have to restart the process. There have been other times where I never even received the call, just a voicemail that they tried to callback. There was a time where I called, waited 30+ minutes on the call because of their previous failures to reach back out to me, and all it did was hang up. I have had maybe 2 successful calls to them in over 20+ attempts. Healthcare is one thing, basic customer service for my health should be better.

Dr. Zia and all the nurses I’ve worked with have been wonderful. She’s really knowledgeable, informative, and kind. My surgeries have all gone quickly and smoothly. This is the most effective care I’ve had for my condition.
