Dr. Steinmetz was able to diagnose and treat my daughters reflux while she was an infant and brought her from Failure To Thrive to the 98th percentile. Very thorough and helpful. We are so thankful!!

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Barry Steinmetz, and also Dr. Kumar. It has been alot to learn but these doctors always made sure I understood the process my daughter was going through and always remained supportive and available for any situations that may arise. As you know it's very scary when your child is sick but I really trust them to lead me in the right direction. If you need a GI team for your child this is the right team. They work collectively to make sure there are no gaps in your childs care. I really appreciate the doctors and their knowledge. My family and I thank you so much for holding our hands through this difficult process. And i am happy to have a team that cares .

Facility is new and modern, kid friendly decor. Dr. Steinmetz spent a lot of time with us. Liked how he talked to my child in a way that drew info directly from the patient. Talks a bit fast but gladly repeated or rephrased things. Professional, precise & knowledgeable. I liked how he gave and read us our summary discharge papers, this allowed me to process our discussion in the mean time and then ask the additional questions when he came back. Staff is also very genuine and helpful. Definitely went above and beyond. No longer at Irvine location but is in Costa Mesa. Via portal Dr. Steinmetz is very responsive.
