I had a great experience with Monmouth Gastroenterology. I found Dr. Shah through my insurance network, and scheduling an appointment online was quick and easy. I was seen at the Oakhurst office, and Dr. Shah was wonderful. She took the time to listen to all of my symptoms, answer all of my questions, and explain everything thoroughly. I never felt rushed and felt very comfortable throughout the entire process. Based on my symptoms, she recommended a colonoscopy and endoscopy and made sure I understood what to expect every step of the way. I also had my procedures performed at the surgical center, and the staff there was amazing. Everyone was kind, professional, and made me feel at ease from check-in through recovery. It was a very positive experience from start to finish. I’m grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Shah and the Monmouth Gastroenterology team.

Not going to lie, the receptionist gives me anxiety. Everytime I call she’s really dry, not compassionate, rude. No one wants to go to a specialist to begin with, so the last thing I want to feel is fear of going from a rude receptionist. She is not a nice lady.

Great doctor with an amazing team! I am young to need imaging and was honestly afraid of the experience because I had never had anesthesia before. Her team from start to finish was personable, caring, and professional. You are a human being at Monmouth gastro, not another number. Dr. Shah has always taken whatever time necessary to explain and answer any and all questions as if you are the only patient in her very busy day. My friends see other doctors in the practice and are all very happy. I can't recommend the Monmouth Gastro team enough.

I called this office to make my first appointment. After it ended, I heard the receptionist call me a moron to all her receptionist friends. It’s kind of funny in retrospect, but probably not something a receptionist should do. I guess she thought our call had ended. I’m sure their doctors are great but I’ll probably never find out.

Once again, Dr Belitsis wowed me, my husband, and my son during a follow-up appointment. From the moment he enters the examination room, there is an aura of positivity and peace. His down-to-earth manner while providing skilled medical care is truly a gift. My husband, my adult son, and I are fortunate to be graced with our gastroenterologist, Dr Belitsis. The cherry on top remains the amazingly courteous, patient, and kind ladies at the front desk. They are all the BEST! On our recent visit, Daniella efficiently and considerately greeted us and got the ball in motion. Maryanne was such a delight as she took my son's vital signs. And then, Kelly G. ended our appointment with a smile, effectively and warmly doing her part. GO, TEAM!!!

I was referred to Monmouth Gastroenterology by a friend and I couldn’t be happier with the staff and the PA I saw. She was compassionate and listened to my concerns. She followed up timely with my test results and advised me of my next steps. I called the office with a follow up question and my call was returned quickly and once again the staff was very informative. Edit to add previous review Unfortunately I will not be going back due to the fact that I had a test done and was never notified of the results. I had to follow up and was not advised that a procedure was not necessary at this time. The doctor would have performed a procedure that was not necessary at all. There was no communication at all with the doctor or the PA.

2026 - due for my colonoscopy - last procedure 10 years ago. My doctor is Dr. Baig. I was treated with respect and courtesy by everyone I came in contact with during this visit. Of course, this involves, the check-in process, the "intake" of current medical history, the doctor himself, and then the scheduling coordinator who set up the appointment for my procedure. After scheduling my procedure, a few days later, a conflict in my schedule arose. I needed to reschedule and left a voicemail as directed by the answering system the office has in place. For some reason, I have been having difficulty with my mobile phone when inside my home and some calls go straight to voicemail so I did in fact miss the return call. I had to call again and restate my concerns and I also indicated the issue with my phone going to voicemail. While I was running an errand, I luckily got the return call. I was then able to easily reschedule and again was treated very courteously over the phone. I was a little surprised to read some of the recent negative reviews and although I have some thoughts, they are better kept to myself. I continue to recommend this practice to others if I am asked. I expect that I will be treated just as nicely when I have my procedure and if I have any concerns I will come back and edit my review. Thank you to all the staff!
