Dr Mukherjee cares about his patients and spends time listening and explaining He is an outstanding GI Specialist

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Matthew Mukherjee for some time, and my experience with him has been very positive. Dr. Mukherjee is knowledgeable, professional, and takes the time to listen to concerns. He explains treatment options clearly and has always made me feel heard during appointments. His medical care has been thorough, and I appreciate his expertise in managing my gastrointestinal issues. Unfortunately, my experience with the office staff has not been as positive. The biggest challenge has been medication prior authorizations and prescription-related follow-up. There have been significant delays when it comes to obtaining insurance approvals, and communication regarding the status of these requests is often lacking. At times, it feels like patients have to do much of the follow-up work themselves by contacting insurance companies, pharmacies, and the office repeatedly to move the process forward. I understand that prior authorizations can be complicated and involve insurance requirements, but I believe the office could do more to advocate for patients and provide proactive updates. Improving communication, follow-through, and urgency with authorization requests would greatly enhance the overall patient experience. Dr. Mukherjee is an excellent physician, which is why I continue to seek care from him. I hope the administrative side of the practice can improve to better match the quality of care he provides. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 4/5 stars because of the excellent physician, but there is definite room for improvement with the office staff and authorization process.

I think Dr. Mukherjee is an excellent doctor. he listens and gets to the root of the problem and has phenomenal bedside manner. would recommend to anyone so highly!

Can't thank Dr.Mukherjee and his team enough. Excellent intake process, care, and follow up all throughout and after my procedure. I imagine very many 5 star reviews in the future!
