I had my first colonoscopy last month with Dr Shah. He truly is an expert in his field and is so kind, caring, professional, and thorough with every encounter. He utilizes the endocuff and I am grateful this is standard practice for him. He found 2 polyps but one he would not have seen without the endocuff. I have been referring Dr Shah to all who are due for their colonoscopy and I am a patient for life. There is no one better! In addition, the staff at the Memorial Care Surgery Center in Laguna Woods took excellent care of me from start to finish.

I chose Dr. Ketan Shah for my colonoscopy based on his outstanding reputation for compassion, expertise, and commitment to patient health. Having undergone two previous colonoscopies with another physician, I can confidently say Dr. Shah stands apart. From scheduling to post-procedure follow-up, my experience was seamless. Dr. Shah personally communicates with his patients, ensuring questions are answered and details are never overlooked. While his hands on approach may occasionally require a little patience, it reflects the level of care he invest in every patient. What impressed me most was Dr. Shah's combination of technical excellence and genuine concern for patient outcomes. His experience, attention to detail, and commitment to thorough screening inspire confidence, while his ability to explain the procedure and findings in a clear, reassuring manner puts patients at ease. I was treated with respect throughout the entire process and felt I was in exceptionally capable hands. Dr. Shah is a rare-find physician who combines clinical expertise with a truly personal approach to care, and I highly recommend him.

I just had my third colonoscopy with Dr. Shah. I would highly recommend him for a few reasons. First, and foremost for me, he is incredibly patient with questions (I always have some and he reached out to me personally to answer them), and even without my questioning he takes his time to explain the procedure, etc. He comes across as extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and is a great communicator (a lot of doctors aren't). As for the procedures, all went well (as well as could be prepping for a colonoscopy), I received a full written report with color photos, with a "see you in 5 years" summation. The nurses and staff at the surgical center were also great.

From initial consultation to final discussion about my pathology results, Dr. Shah and his staff has provided white-glove treatment. Dr. Shah is empathetic and exceptional in his knowledge and experience. Why go with him? Because he detects polyps in the colon at a much higher rate than most gastroenterologists. He is also one if the few who can do an unsedated colonoscopy, which I had to do so I could drive myself home. He also prescribed me Sutab at my request, which is pill form for the prep, not a nasty drink (alot of people fail colonoscopy exams because of the nasty drink). He wants to ensure you have a super clean colon for the procedure, and really helped me through the prep, which is arguably tougher than the procedure. He does not rush, he wants to ensure that he leaves no stone unturned. He also offers you to go straight to the procedure, and not separately bill you for the consultation. When I got my results for one polyp, his level of thoroughness in discussing it, following up with the pathologists, and basis for recommending my next colonoscopy re-exam date was truly impressive and appreciated. His entire staff was super kind to me, and made me feel comfortable with this really tough procedure in a very sensitive part of your body. I give Dr. Shah my recommendation as the go-to GI for colonoscopy. HE is the gold standard, not the procedure itself, as conventional wisdom would have you think.

This was my 3rd colonscopy with Dr. Shah over the years. He is very thorough, professional and responsive. He stayed in touch with me via text, email and phone calls both before and after the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Shah, and he will continue to be my gastrointestinal Dr.
