I went there for my colonoscopy and an inostopy at the same time and Dr Hume was absolutely wonderful I would recommend her!

I finally found a Hepatologist/GI physician, Dr. Hum who provided an excellent interest in my health. Dr. Hum discovered through testing that was never requested by my previous physician. She discovered that my liver is not doing well which explains the pain in my upper right quadrant (Right side just under the ribs). Dr. Hum informed me that my internal organs are not well due to a history of Hepatitis C (HCV) exposure as a Public Service worker. Never did I believe that my life’s path would follow the path of progressive and damaging HCV, but it resulted in service to the public and honoring an Oath of Office. My prognosis and test results inform me that death is closer than was expected. My fears are not for my death but for my family who will have to continue life without me being present. Death is the only aspect of life that we can be 100% sure of and death is a day we all must face. Please let me say, “Thank You,” to the Oregon Clinic! Most importantly, please allow me to say, “THANK YOU,” to Doctor Hum, for her medical knowledge, medical skills, and her medical abilities! May life reward Dr. Hum for her help to my family and me. One last point, for the purposes of privacy the name used by me is just my online name used, again to protect personal identity and privacy but the information is true, so help me God.

Dr. Hum was the first specialist I was able to see about my new diagnosis of EOE. Although I had researched the disease, I was unsure of how to partner with Dr. Hum to determine my current status and begin receiving treatment. Our conversation was very productive, and I am now optimistic that a plan for treatment can be realized. I really appreciate how quickly I was seen and the priority made for scheduling the follow-up procedure I am learning how to understand and manage this chronic disease and appreciate Dr. Hum's help in improving my quality of life.
