Dr. Khlevner is everything that you could want in a doctor. She is knowledgeable, thorough, competent, and kind. She took extra time to make sure my daughter understood and was comfortable with both the diagnostic and treatment plan. It’s hard to find a doctor that listens and goes out of their way to make sure that the patient both receives proper treatment and a dose of humanity. A true gem.

Dr. Khelvnar is hands down one of the most understanding and knowledgeable doctors we’ve ever met, especially when it comes to short bowel syndrome. She’s not only well-versed in her field, but she’s also open to exploring alternative treatments, as long as they’re backed by solid medical evidence. Because of her care, our son is thriving in ways we never thought possible. Seeing Dr. Khelvnar feels like visiting family. She’s been by our side for years, and switching from our gastroenterologist in Orange County, NY, to her care in NYC was one of the best decisions we’ve made. She’s truly a partner in our child’s care—deeply invested, always following up, and incredibly responsive. We couldn’t be more grateful for her dedication.

Dr. Khlevner is an extraordinary doctor. She listens. She is available, responsive and takes concerns, large and small, seriously. She understands that the child and parent's experience during appointments and procedures is important. She has amassed a career of experience and expertise, and is also open to a family's perspective and context. While she is a GI specialist, she sees the patient as a full person, and guides (and refers) in a way that some primary care physicians don't. We have felt comforted and confident knowing that our daughter is in her care, and that Dr. Khlevner is there when we have needed her.
