Holy Cross Medical Group - Gastroenterology

I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Amar, and the day BEFORE my appointment, I received a call informing me that they were refusing to see me because I had previously seen another doctor in the practice over a year ago. 🤬 What makes this even more frustrating is that my previous experience with that doctor was not helpful. I felt like my concerns were not properly addressed—he walked in, scheduled a colonoscopy, and did not review or explain my MRI results to me. After waiting MONTHS for this appointment with Dr. Amar, I was extremely disappointed to be told at the last minute that I could not see another physician within the same practice. My insurance is paying for my care, so I find it ridiculous that a patient can be denied the opportunity to see another doctor simply because they previously saw someone else in the practice. I decided to look at the reviews afterward, and unfortunately, I see that I am NOT the only patient who has experienced issues with this office. That is very concerning. Needless to say, I will be looking for another gastroenterologist. After waiting months for an appointment, the last thing a patient should have to deal with is being turned away the day before. Very disappointing experience. 👎🏽

I am being refused due to 5 alleged cancelations which I dispute. I have cancelled 3 appointments and no showed for 1. Shame on me. These date back 2 years ago in 2023. Problem is acid reflux which causes episodes of painful hiccups which lasts for days up to weeks. When I called to be seen in the past, they schedule me out weeks and even months later, even when I insisted on being seen urgently on my behalf. When appointments come up, I'm sorry, but I am not in need, and have a job that is difficult to miss work at. I called last week during an episode, which I am having right now. I was scheduled with a provider the next morning and was denied by Sherri, the office manager. Then the scheduler got back on the phone and said they actually wouldn't see me because of previous cancelations over the past 2 years. However, I could wait until til December to see the first physician I seen there. If I can see one, why deny me another. How does a rule apply to some providers but not all???? Treatment in the same office should not be determined in that manner, nor by a manager that is not a doctor or PA. If they will see in the office, then why deny me the next available appointment? THEN the manager said one of the cancelations was from last week, she was talking about was the appointment made and immediately cancelled by her office. I dispute the cancellations because she also considered 2 orders placed, but never scheduled, cancellations. That is ridiculous and falsifying my chart The provider placed an order for a procedure that would cost me $400 out of pocket that I told him I couldn't afford to have. This was done twice, which Sherri, the office manager, included in my record of cancellations. This complaint includes my accountability for canceling appointments in the past, but they were canceled, not no shows. I did not show for 1 appointment last year that I forgotten about. Not having issues at that time is why. Point is, I need medical attention now, I'm being disregarded over cancelled appointments (which are in question since Sherri said I cancelled last, but was refused service last week)to be seen ASAP, ohh but I can be seen if I wait til December. This is unacceptable medical treatment. Im a patient with insurance which will pay for service. Don't go to that office if you've ever cancelled. You'll be denied treatment.

F. Shepherd, Nurse practitioner was extremely professional, helpful, and listened to my needs. I really recommend seeing her she was informative and kind. You can tell she really cares about her patients.

Dr Bashir is very rude. Walked in, did not even say hi. He started colonoscopy before anesthesia was given! That was painful, had to tell him. He made some negative remarks and believe he was referring to me. Find a different Dr. Stay away from here...

From our experience on the phone with Christy, to the nurse or C.N.A., Althea, to Dr. Feldman, everyone we encountered was patient, attentive, and informative, answering all of our questions, and providing great patient care!

Dr Feldman was very informative and took care of me answered my questions and very professional.The staff exceptionally helpful caring especially Mark at the front desk are beyond amazing I felt welcome ,cared for, and complete at ease.I will definitely be back.Highly recommend

I was seen by Dr. Evgeny Idrisov at Holy Cross and I can't recommend him enough. His manner is patient, he listens to your concerns, explained the procedure thoroughly and made me feel completely at ease. Thank you Dr. Idrisov!

Very rude staff unprofessional I’ll never come here again I immediately walked out

Awful office staff, very poor organization. If you like to wait weeks for a prescription refill or a call back, then by all means. Treated like second class every time I called. A very degrading experience.

I had a colonoscopy, which no one likes, with Dr. Feldman recently. The Doctor, And Office Staff were excellent! I would highly recommend this Gastroenterology office to all. I greatly appreciate the care and attention I received from Dr. Feldman's staff. Thank you!
