Unacceptable lack of care and empathy. After over two weeks and endless calls to the office, I still have received no lab results and zero follow-up from Dr. Gang while needing urgent care. The amount of mental stress and frustration caused by having to constantly chase down this office is ridiculous. I am taking my care to another provider. Highly advise looking elsewhere if you want a doctor who actually communicates. Update: 2 weeks the Dr. Gang did call and apologize for my frustrations but unfortunately it was a little too late

Dr Judith Gang was incredible. I had a bad experience with a different GI in an office in Manhattan, and wasn’t sure what to expect in this practice. She was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and listened to what I had going on. Amazing bed side manners and a knowledgeable doctor, I know I’m in good hands now.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I originally spoke with a member of Dr. Raskin’s staff before booking to explain I had a vacation coming up and needed to get some relief beforehand. She reassured me we had more than enough time (5ish weeks) to get seen, run some tests, and take action. That gave me a lot of confidence. When I met Dr. Raskin, I was impressed. He listened, had great insights, and made me feel like we had a clear path forward. He said the office would follow up the next business day, which they did, asking me to check with my insurance before they submitted the orders. I appreciated that extra step and followed through right away. After I confirmed coverage, I called back and let them know they could go ahead. One staff member answered with me on speaker, which was a little unprofessional, but I gave them the go ahead. I was told one test would be mailed to me and the other would come via a lab slip. Then… nothing. Over two weeks passed and I received neither. I have tracking on all my mail and deliveries. There was nothing. No communication, no updates, and no action. When I called back, the woman I spoke to told me flat out that nothing had been sent. Despite me explaining I was traveling soon (which they already knew), there had been zero follow up. When I said, out of frustration, “Maybe I should just find another doctor,” she slammed the phone down on me. I escalated to a different location and was connected with the office manager. They were understanding and promised it would get resolved. Later that day, someone called to say they had just now emailed me a form to sign, proof that nothing had been in motion before. I signed it immediately. Another week passed. Still nothing. No test. No updates. No care. Dr. Raskin himself was great. He had a calm, attentive demeanor and genuinely seemed to care. But his staff or the systems in place completely dropped the ball, not once but repeatedly. I truly hope other patients have a better experience, but mine left me understanding exactly why people avoid the doctor until things get really bad. This felt like a clear message: we don’t care. I am now getting ready to go on this vacation in a week and a half with no care. Feeling very let down. If you book with these people and it works out, good for you. Dr. Raskin seems great. But be warned these extremely unprofessional staff members may make it a big waste of your time. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully Dr. Raskin gets the staff he deserves.
