I hesitate to give even ONE STAR!! Worst experience and it was my first visit. First it took them over a month to get the referral from my other doctor straightened out. Not because my other doctor didn’t send it it’s due to the incompetency and lack of care of the staff. I was there to review a scan on my liver which could be a serious condition and it’s been almost two weeks and no one has called me to review the report. It’s been received by their office five days now and when I can actually speak to someone in the office they say oh we will have the dr call you. He never calls. Takes at least 20 calls to get someone to answer buy yesterday it took 75 calls and then they hung up on my whole transferring me to the office manager!!!!! They don’t care about the health of their patients. It’s just my liver … it could be cancer or liver disease but they can’t give a simple phone call to let me know and give me peace of mind. They are careless I’m inside incompetent and when a dr says “ oh you call me in a few days because I May forget to call you” that’s a clear sign my health is not a priority. I would not take a pet monkey here!! Worst service I have had at a doctors office and I have six doctors I see regularly. Unbelievable how bad it is . If it would do any good I would report them to the Texas Medical Board but they don’t care either.

**This negative review is specifically intended to address Doctors Steins answering service because my encounter wasn't with anyone from his offices** While, perhaps, one might consider the answering service to be a separate entity from the Doctors office, I truly believe they bear equal responsibility to demonstrate the same level of professionalism, empathy, and compassion especially considering they're the first impression new patients might have of a particular doctors office. That said, however, the impression I received this morning was a reminder why I've avoided trying to find a new doctors all of these years. After having some recent yet severe health complications and having just turned 40 I recognize the urgency at which I needed to find a new Primary Care doctor and thus began my quest to do so. Throughout my quest I ended up contacting something like 5 to 10 different offices so you can probably imagine how easy it was to forget which ones I contacted in the end. In the end I found one who could see me next day however I completely forgot that I had confirmed an appointment for several weeks out with Dr Stein (because it was his first availability). This morning I received an automated reminder from Dr Steins office advising I should call the number back if I needed to cancel the appointment and I did but a very boorish and ill-tempered answering service rep named "Mimi" answered and it reminded me why I've avoided finding a new doctor all these years. Mimi was difficult to understand because she spoke so quickly and just kept repeating she was the 'answering service" not the doctors office. But I was confused because I was just trying to discern whether this was the follow up appointment I scheduled with the office I went with in the end. I was trying to be careful not to cancel my real appointment but we couldn't get past Mimi being the answering service. She just kept giving me a hard time. My response was, I understand you're the answering service Mimi but what doctors office is this. It was difficult to understand her because of her southern draw but finally recognized she was saying "Stein". In the end, I'm grateful I found another doctor because their staff has been a reminder that there are still folks out there who care and can extend some level of respect to their patience. Unfortunately, Doctor Stein's office wasn't it for me. To be completely fair, this experience didn't happen with his direct staff but again, the doctors office pays the answering service so they do bear some responsibility to be uphold the same values the doctors office would.

I had a good experience there during a mid April 2022 visit. I went for a consultation before being scheduled for a colonoscopy. The doctor and all staff were polite, friendly and professional.
