Dr. Zaid Tafesh is a truly exceptional physician. After a failed TIPS procedure for esophageal varices, I required an emergency liver and bile duct transplant. It was one of the most frightening times of my life, but Dr. Tafesh and the transplant team at University Hospital Newark stepped in and saved me. Dr. Tafesh is not only an incredibly skilled hepatologist and gastroenterologist, but also an attentive and compassionate listener who takes time with each of his patients. He genuinely cares and never makes you feel rushed. His kindness and calm presence brought tremendous comfort during an overwhelming and terrifying experience. His professionalism and expertise made all the difference. Because of him and his team, I am here today, and I will always be deeply grateful.

Highly recommend Dr. Tatesh Zaid very humanitarian physician excellent hepatologist Gastroenterologist I want to recognize Dr. Tafest for his sincer canng towaras his patients. Dr. Tafesh never turns patients away, even when they are very late to their appointments. On one occasion, Dr. Tafer responded to a text right away, aespite being oversees in Jordan at the time. He was able to instruct me an how to more forward so the patient could be seen by Dr Niazi next day.
