I visited Dr Abitol, what a disappointment experience. The lady at the front desk was nice as well the 2 assistants but the Dr looks like in a rush, didn't show any interest in know anything about my previous sintoms and just wanted to give me prescriptions. He ended the short visit, less than 10 minutes, telling me that he had to go because was in a rush. Do not visit that Dr never ever.

On 06/17/26, I had a very bad experience with this doctor. That was my second time seeing him. My first visit was in 2020, and it went well. I was there for a colonoscopy screening last week. I am 55 years old, and I am supposed to have this procedure every five years. In front of one his staff member, Doctor Abitbol sneezed twice into his own bare hands, blew his nose in some tissue paper, then began touching my hands and neck without washing or sanitizing his hands. I was so grossed out, I couldn't react. I later called the office and asked to speak with him directly, but the receptionist emailed me a link to access the patient portal and voice my concern. I sent him a private message via the patient portal later on the same day to let him know how I felt about his lack of proper hygiene. I was supposed to have the procedure done in the beginning of August. The very next day, one his staff member, without offering any apology, simply left me a voicemail message to let me know that after reading my message on the patient portal, the doctor decided to cancel my upcoming procedure. At the very least, they should have apologized. How would you feel if you or one of your love ones had a similar experience with this doctor?

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Abitbol for 14 years, beginning shortly after we moved to South Florida. Managing different gastric issues requires a specialist who is both highly skilled and adaptable, and Dr. Abitbol excels in both areas. Beyond his technical expertise, his bedside manner and thorough follow-through provide a level of confidence that is rare to find (especially in this region). Furthermore, his office staff is exceptional, and easily one of the most professional and efficient teams I have encountered in this area. We highly recommend Dr. Abitbol and his team!

This was my first time seeing a GI doctor and, it wasn't the best experience. I was very surprised because i was highly recommended to go see him. Every time I've gone to my appointment they had me waiting 15-20 minutes to go in. Dr Prosper told me to journal things and then he didn't care to see it. I went it recently to go over results, i waited 50 minutes for him to see me with an appointment and he spent 10 minutes with me. He was by the door the whole time like he was in a rush to leave and started to open the door while still talking to us. The receptionist was rude, the only nice person is Liz. would not recommend him.

Dr. Abitbol is amazing! He’s the first gastroenterologist that I’ve been to that actually listens and let’s you speak. As soon as he introduced himself, I knew I was in good hands. The office staff and Liz the Physician Assistant are also all very sweet. Didn’t need to wait long for an appointment and walked out of the colonoscopy/endoscopy feeling great. Dr. Arbitbol has hands of gold. Thank you for everything. Highly recommend him and his staff! You’ll be in great hands.

The best doctor. Has a great personality and his knowledge is top-of-the-line. I’ve been going there for years. My insurance is strong that I can go anywhere I want, but I wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else.. Would highly recommend.
