Well I wished I could leave five stars, unfortunately I cannot. I tempted to make a appointment with my long time Dr. Hill. Regardless of the time or day he was not available. I was not forced but sort of pushed towards using his PA. Since I had an issue I needed to get resolved, I chose to deal with the PA. I did not feel that warm welcome feeling that the old office used to have and the nurse who did my intake was less than friendly. When I told her I was anxious and was a little concerned about a female that I had never met, she immediately stated well do you want me to cancel the appointment and you don't have to see her. I said you're missing the point. In the meantime as I was in the lobby I heard that people were there for Dr Hill and that he actually was in town and working just not maybe taking patients. I was told he was out. Whatever that meant. Regardless, I chose to utilize the PA AND I found her bedside manner to be standoffish and I'm sure the nurse already updated her that I was not comfortable with her. I could feel her body language when she walked in the door. What really got me was that after examining me. She left the room for me to get dressed. She really didn't tell me anything at all regarding the examination except that you can put your clothes on and I'll be back in a moment. When she came back into the room she stated that she would speak to the doctor on Monday as she needed to discuss my issues with him. Duh! That was the whole purpose of seeing him in the first place in paying a copay for a specialist. She stated that either she or the doctor would not be available the following day which was Friday and that she would contact me on Monday to let me know what he said because he would probably want me to come back for an examination. Duh! So, the following day on Friday, which was early and I appreciate it that she had talked to Dr Hill and that they wanted to refer me to another doctor for treatment. No reason why, no diagnosis of any sort, just referring me to a doctor that I've never met who is once again a specialist. I chose to find my own specialist gave this PA the information and I now will be utilizing their services and no longer will ever have another colonoscopy myself my spouse or my family members. I guess Dr Hills gotten too big for his britches and now is too busy to talk to anyone or see his regular long-time patients that he knows have a history of colon cancer. Shame on you and the way you handle your patience and the way your practice operates now. This is probably a blessing in disguise. But Dr Hill your five star rating went to a 2 and that was being nice. Lastly, thank you for wasting my copay for SEEING A SPECIALIST!
