I went from a pediatric gastroenterologist who was trying to pressure my parents into removing part of my colon to having my chrons in full remission with no symptoms. Grunkemeier truly knows his stuff. My life would be so much different without his expertise. I am so fortunate for him. The nurses and staff at this office used to suck, but seems like they hired some good ones recently.

PORTLAND REVIEWS
I’m going to need the people who answer the phones to stop giving medical advice. I was just told that there’s no way that diverticulitis can leak through the vaginal cavity. And she referred me back to gyno. I do not appreciate that this woman acted like she knew everything there is to know. She gave me false information after I repeatedly told her that I had already been to gyno multiple times and that they had told me that nothing was wrong gynecologically. Still , she blurted out “this is a Gyno issue not gastro”. So confidently wrong.

Dr. Grunkemeier is amazing. Tumors were found during my colonoscopy. I had breast cancer a few years ago so it was apparent that this was cancer. Upon my departure he called the surgeon and oncologist to get the ball rolling for my treatment plan (actually picked up the phone and called not email or My Chart). That was May 14th. Today is May 21st and I’ve had my CT Scan, met with my surgeon and I have an appointment next week with my oncologist. This has moved along quickly and it’s all thanks to Dr. Grunkemeier and his dedication to his patients. He called me today to follow up with me. I felt important and cared for. I really appreciate his positivity and support. I can’t recommend him enough. Rating stars to infinity 💫

I am a longtime (15+ years) patient of Dr. Grunkemeier. He has demonstrated time and again that he genuinely cares, not just about providing great medical advice and treatment, but also about me as a person. He's compassionate, intelligent, knowledgeable, reliable, and totally relatable as another human being. I have recommended several of my family members to see Dr. Grunkemeier, and he has become their favorite physician, too! I can't recommend Dr. Grunkemeier enough. He is truly exactly what I want in a medical professional, and I feel lucky to have him on my team.
