I have been a patient at AHWM for a very long time “2005” and have had my ups and downs. I have had a great success story and then the best way to put it, I just gave up on myself. So here we are trying to get things headed in the right direction! Dr. Patel has been a great held. She isn’t a soft touch, she’s going to tell you like it is and sometime you don’t like what she says but you know she’s right. Over the last year I have lost right at 50 pounds and today I got the best news ever! Because I am on Medicare, I was approved for a GLP-1 and I am so happy. I am not going to give up on myself again and it’s full steam ahead and because I am going to be a success story again! Even in my senior years!!!!

Dr. Bauman is "awesome", but the lady "handling", the insurance side of things, was nasty, and rude. There was a "misunderting", about "my insurance", coverage, and she "wouldn't allow", me to "call them", and "straighten it out". Instead she was "extremly prideful, and arrogant", and "said", she knows "what she's talking about", and kicked me out their office. I hope for Dr. Bauman, his "current, and future", patients, and "everyone else", involved, they "make an adjustment", to "who handles", patient care. Because "she's running off", customers/patients. I "could have used", my insurance to "use", Dr. Bauman as "my surgeon", I just "would have", had to meet "my deductible", copay, etc, which "would have", only been $600. Instead I've "agreed", to "have a referral", placed to "another surgeon", for a "consultation", over my hernia, and gastric adjustment. Dr. Bauman was "awesome", before today, I'd "give him", 10 stars, but with "this experience", I had it just really "turns me away", from the "practice" altogether. I'd give "this practice", a negative 3 stars, dealing "with", this lady.

Very concerning experience. The provider began the appointment by standing in the doorway and stating he would not see me, directing me to another doctor I had only seen once years ago. When I asked for clarification, he repeatedly said he “would not help me” without explanation. When he did begin asking questions, I tried to answer and provide relevant medical history, but was repeatedly interrupted and told I was interrupting him—even when simply responding. He also repeatedly stated “we’re not going to get along” whenever I asked questions or tried to advocate for myself. At one point, when explaining prior treatments, he stated, “I don’t care what you’ve tried.” The situation escalated instead of being handled professionally. As I became understandably upset trying to figure out how to proceed, the appointment was abruptly ended, and I was told to leave under threat of security being called. I was later dismissed from the practice entirely. I did not feel heard, respected, or cared for. I’m sharing this so others are aware of the experience I had.

Staff is awesome! Great experience from beginning to end!
