Dr Andrew Roolrda corrected a Colon issue via a very delicate method with Outstanding Results, Issue Resolved.

i have had the great fortune to be assigned to Dr. Andrew Roorda as a specialist in Gastroenterology. He has the talent and wisdom to disarm a patient's worries about a procedure and successfully accomplishes the goal of keeping one's colon health in sync. He has a personable and down-to-earth approach to communicating with his patients that helps assuage any fears a patient may have. I appreciate and honor his excellent contribution as a doctor and a patient advocate. Thank you , Dr.Roorda!

Dr Roorda is calm, patient and an excellent listener. He is an expert in his field and by the end of my visit had clear treatment plan laid out for me. My condition is finally well managed and I cannot thank him enough for this. Doctor Roorda is always detail oriented and takes the time to answer all the questions and concerns without rushing his patients. I enjoy all my visits with him.

I first got an appointment with this dr through Zocdoc. When I had taken the day off, on the day of, the receptionist called me and told me there has been a mix up and rescheduled me for a couple of weeks later. I went in after a couple of weeks and waited more than half an hour in the office and the dr didn’t show up. I told them that I had a meeting that I had to get to. I was so frustrated that I left and got a refund issued for my copay. The receptionist is so incompetent that it took her another 5 mins to issue a refund and had to ask around to figure out how to do it. I definitely do not recommend this dr.

Andrew Roorda is a phenomenal doctor. One of the best I've ever been to. He listens extremely well, has incredible knowledge (made me aware of a problem no other gastro even told me about), and is very kind and attentive. Incredible doctor.

I had stomach distress in late 2013 and early 2014, and Dr. Roorda was one of the specialists I was referred to in the South Bay. What separated him from other doctors is that he patiently took down my complete medical history, and was a terrific listener. He didn't jump to any conclusions, but ordered different scans to better assess the situation. Other doctors I saw suggested a colonoscopy, but Dr. Roorda recommended against it because he didn't find anything major wrong with me on the CT and ultrasound, and he argued that a colonoscopy should be a last resort for a twenty-something, and shouldn't be done unless it's absolutely necessary. I followed his advice and ate a simple diet, took probiotics, and watched what caused stomach distress and what didn't, and in a matter of weeks, I was feeling better again, without requiring any further intervention. Dr. Roorda read the situation very well, and his confidence and knowledge of gastroenterology made me trust him, as well as his availability to answer any questions I had and to respond to any change in symptoms. He was an approachable and compassionate doctor throughout the several weeks he guided me in my recovery. I would recommend Dr. Roorda to others in the Bay Area looking for an excellent gastroenterologist.
