All Island Gastroenterology (AIG)

Sadly, the reason for this poor review is the way I was treated by one of the Spanish-speaking receptionists. I attempted to cancel an appointment and left a voicemail message. To my surprise, I later discovered that the appointment had never been canceled. Ironically, it was this same receptionist who previously advised me to leave a voicemail because of issues I had experienced trying to reach the office by phone. On a prior occasion, I was placed on hold for over an hour before finally being able to cancel my appointment. This time, I followed her advice and left a voicemail, only to find out that my appointment was still listed as scheduled. As a result, I was charged a $100 no-show fee despite making an effort to cancel in advance. What made the situation even more frustrating was the receptionist's response when she called me back. She was extremely rude and insisted that she never received my voicemail, then told me that I "should know" about the $100 no-show policy. Considering that I had previously spent over an hour on hold just to cancel an appointment, it seems unreasonable to penalize me when I followed the instructions I was given. Being called at work and spoken to in a hostile, aggressive tone with no empathy or understanding was both embarrassing and disappointing. I have never been treated with such hostility by a medical office before. I would not recommend this office to anyone with a busy schedule who may need to reschedule appointments. In my experience, they were not accommodating at all. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the Spanish-speaking receptionist involved, but her behavior reflected very poorly on the practice

Horrible service from insurance department and when you get scheduled for a specific test and you go in person no one knows what you’re there for.

The office staff was excellent, very helpful throughout the process. The doctor gave detailed information before and after the procedure.

Doctor is always nice

Disrespectful employees, I call in to confirm if my preauthorization was submitted after confirming with doctor and pharmacy it is necessary. Authorization representative from this office informed me it will take a week, and I can’t talk to the doctor because I’m not the only patient. Reiterated multiple times doctor let me know I can come in for samples if it goes past two days of process.
