They are currently running 2 hours behind schedule. I am sitting in the waiting room as I type this. Just complete and utter incompetence. Honestly I am dumbfounded at how this establishment has remained in business based on this experience as well as several other reviews I see on here.

I had only one appointment with this office, which was a referral from my surgeon. There was an issue with the authorization because the hospital they originally referred me to no longer accepts my insurance. I understood the situation and was told that once they found a facility that accepted my insurance, they would call me back. I later received a missed call from the office and returned the call. Unfortunately, the staff member who answered told me to "call your insurance" and ended the call before asking for my name or reviewing my information. When I called back for clarification, the call was disconnected again. This experience left me feeling confused and frustrated. I understand that insurance issues can be complicated, but I would have appreciated a more courteous and professional conversation. As patients, we rely on clear communication and respectful treatment. Because of this experience, I plan to ask my primary care doctor for a referral to a different gastroenterologist.

This is the worst clinic. I was referred by my doctor to this clinic and received text msg from them that they got authorization from my insurance and to call and make appointment. They are only open on Monday. My appointment was 9:15 in the morning and already around 5 or more people sitting around. That didn't bother me. I had initial consultation not with doctor Hag but with young lady who said she is dr Hag assistant. My original doctor recommended procedure so assistant agreed to set up appointment. Gentlemen at the front desk asked for list of all my medication. Well I didn't have that so I said I have that written at home so I'll call with a list. He said no he had to have that written on paper. He suggested I go home and return same day. I could not do this. So...I had to come back week later on Monday with my list so we can make appointment for my procedure. Ok...he made appointment for June 2nd but no time because they will confirm time 2-3 days before procedure. Nobody called or send any information so I called Magnolia Surgery Center in Westminster and turned out THEY NEVER RECEIVED ANY PAPERWORK from dr Hag office. NEVER. So calling back they informed me that they don't have any answer for me. WHAT?!!!!!

I was very disappointed with the way my grandmother’s appointment was handled. She was a new patient, and after checking in and completing all of the required paperwork, we waited over an hour before being called back. Despite the long wait, I remained hopeful because Dr. Haq had been highly recommended by her primary care physician. When we were finally seen, we learned that a Physician Assistant (PA) would be conducting the appointment rather than Dr. Haq. The PA was kind and professional, and I am sure she is highly qualified. However, my grandmother’s case is medically complex, and given the seriousness of her health issues, I felt it warranted a more thorough discussion of all available options. After reviewing the case, the PA stepped out for approximately 10 minutes to consult with Dr. Haq by phone. When she returned, we were essentially told that my grandmother might have cancer but that, due to her age, it was not something we should pursue further. While I understand that certain diagnostic procedures and treatments may carry increased risks for elderly patients, I was later informed that there are less invasive options that could have been discussed. Unfortunately, these alternatives were never mentioned during the consultation. We left feeling discouraged, hopeless, and as though our time had been wasted. Most concerning was the feeling that my grandmother’s concerns were dismissed because of her age rather than being evaluated through a discussion of all reasonable options and risks. I would also strongly suggest that the office clearly inform patients in advance if they will be seeing a PA instead of Dr. Haq. We scheduled the appointment expecting to meet with the physician and felt misled when that was not the case. Overall, the experience left us disappointed and with more questions than answers

Our procedure was confirmed by this office, including the arrival time and location. My spouse completed the difficult preparation process for an endoscopy and colonoscopy, and both of us took time off work. After arriving, we were informed there was no valid authorization. We later learned the authorization had reportedly been submitted and then canceled by the office. The experience caused significant stress, inconvenience, and loss of trust in the coordination of care. We have documented the matter with the insurance company and ultimately decided to cancel further treatment with this o

Dr. Tahmina Haq at Advanced Gastroenterology & Liver Institute is professional, compassionate, and thorough; she takes time to listen, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel confident in your care, and I highly recommend her.

This place treated my grandma very horrible! The receptionist was so rude and disrespectful, as soon as my grandma came in to check in she yelled at her to wait and sit down! After waiting for 15mins my grandma was told she wouldn’t be seen because she forgot her ID. It is really unprofessional to have someone like that working reception. How unfair was it that she had my grandma waiting just to be told she wouldn’t get seen. My grandma urgently needed to see the Gastro specialist and was denied over forgetting her ID, my grandma sees different specialist and NOT ONCE have we been denied an appointment over a forgotten ID. This office really needs to do better and that receptionist needs to not work with people if she doesn’t know how to be polite.
